Counselling
I am trained in an integrative approach based on Person Centred Philosphy in which you are the centre of the work and are equal in the relationship depending on your individual needs. I can draw from interventions and techniques from other schools of therapy e.g cognitive behavioural therapy, transactional analysis, solution focused brief therapy etc.
Supervision
I am an experienced and qualified supervisor and work with qualified and student counsellors in regular monthly sessions. I offer the first session free of charge to enable us to meet up and explore if we can work together and for you to decide if you want to engage in supervision with me.
My experience as a counselling lecturer for seventeen years supporting the learning of student counsellors has put me in a good position to understand the practical, ethical, personal, and professional developmental needs of student counsellors in placement.
